This Rapid7® ControlsInsight® 1.1 release includes a new report, more contextual information on controls assessments, and expanded assessment.
New product name
The name of the product has changed from Centrics to ControlsInsight to better describe how this solution provides visibility into the deployment and effectiveness of your security controls. The Web interface and documentation have been updated to reflect the new name.
Status explained for each security control
When viewing the status of each security control for an asset, you can now see the reason for the status. For example, ControlsInsight indicates that antivirus installation is required. The reason is that no supported antivirus solutions were found on scanned assets. The new Reason column is a quick way to identify why there are specific gaps in your defense against threats.
New Executive Report
You can now create an Executive Report that captures all the security controls metrics, grading, and next steps information displayed on the Threats page.
Simply click the Print icon in the top, right corner of the Security Controls Deployed pane to generate a print-formatted version of the page. Then you can print hard copies or create a PDF to distribute via e-mail. This allows you to share a snapshot of your controls assessment with others in your organization who do not have access to ControlsInsight.
ControlsInsight expands and improves its assessment of security control deployment in the following areas:
- e-mail filtering enabled
- firewall-related controls
